Shriek Elegance

Like… severe abdominal pain the past couple days. Not all day, just isolated incidents. Like, I had it two evenings in a row and then right now. What the shit is up with that, body? What the shit?

Last day of class until next Thursday :3! Thank god for long weekends.

Oh, so it turns out Bernice and Gary aren’t coming THIS weekend, but NEXT weekend. My parents neglected to clear up the mix up until yesterday. SO… this will make hanging out this weekend much easier. So if anyone has any plans or anything they wanna do, lemme know. I can’t hang out like… every day, but a couple days I prolly could. I still have a research paper to do, after all.

Hmmm what else?

I’m going to stop by the mall on the way home. Gonna go to Chapters and see about some books. Then I’m gonna go to HMV and see if I can pick up the Miyazaki films that I want since I only have Howl on DVD. And I need to look for bike shorts at Sport Check or something. I have to stop by Fabricland for Mom too and pick up some buttons for her. Or something. And I have to drop Shay’s taxes (XD) off at H&R block once I get across the bridge. Errands errands errands. What will I do sans mes bananes?

Speaking of bananas, I’ve got an awesome lunch/snack/thing full of delicious fruit lined up. WEW.

I spent all day yesterday playing FFVII. XD SERIOUSLY. I need to start finishing other games. Not replaying ones I’ve played well over 20 times. I promise, after VII, I will work on Folklore and Crisis Core.

Anywho. I should make like a baby and head out.

So I broke down and got the cheapest bike shorts I could find at Sport Check. My quest is over.

I also bought Blue Bloods from Chapters ’cause I was talking to Joanna and Nicole during break and Joanna said it was really good, so I’m checking it out. I originally went in to get Ender’s Shadow but they were out, so I figure this should hold me over for a bit.

Stopped in at HMV. >.> I am so bad in that store… I bought Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke as planned. They didn’t have My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicaa or Castle in the Sky which are the rest of the ones I want on DVD. Unplanned purchases were: August Rush (it was a 2/$30 deal with Mononoke) and… FFVII: AC Limited Edition Collector’s Set. Allow me to say now that the prints that come with the collector’s set are beautiful. There are prints of: Cloud, Kadaj, Sephiroth, Cid, Barret, Tifa, the three brothers (Kadaj and the guys) and Cloud carrying Kadaj at the end of the movie. I wish there was one of Red XIII and Cait Sith. And… well, everyone, really, but that’s okay. It also came with a “novel” and the movie script. And I get an extra DVD on top of the movie that has more special features on it and, dun dunna nuuuuh, Last Order. Which is sweet. Yes, it was expensive, but I don’t really care. It is miiiine.

Anyway. It was a good shoptherapy day.

I hate people.

From exercise. I’m really tired. I don’t have to do it every day I’m not at school, anyway. Three times a week is sufficient. I just wanted to go that extra mile.

Shay and I went shopping yesterday. We bought sports bras ’cause we needed them. And I bought some cheap camisoles for sleeping. They’re comfy. I still need to get some biking shorts, but Zellers doesn’t sell them anymore. How lame is that?

My groupmate, Leah, was hit by an RCMP car when she was riding her bike on Friday. Way to go, police. Apparently he just booked it turning the corner without looking.

Ummm, we saw X-Files on Monday. It was alright.

I thought I had something to say.

Still haven’t thought of a research topic yet. As long as I come up with one by tomorrow, I’ll be all good. I’m so glad my presentation and the paper for that is finished so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Our printer is making scary noises and like… turning itself on when we turn it off and stuff. The poor thing. It’s so old and sad, yet still good. When it decides to work.

I started playing FF7 again the other day when I was on the bike ’cause I didn’t feel like playing anything else. I could’ve played Folklore, but I finished Ellen’s chapter and I’m on Keats now and… I didn’t feel like being Keats that day. Plus I would’ve had to go to that realm with all the fucked up clocks and stuff and try to navigate my way through the stupid puzzle maze again and I didn’t have the patience for that. Anyway. I got out of Midgar. Chillin’ out outside of Kalm. Gonna do some more leveling maybe (lol I was soooo overleveled when I was in Midgar, the bosses were so easy). Really I should be playing one of the other games. Like. Folklore. Or Ico. Or, hell, Dark Cloud 2 (yes, I still have to finish Dark Cloud 2. Considering just starting over ’cause I can’t remember anything that was happening). Or Crisis Core. Or FF3. Or Tactics. Or Jeanne D’Arc. Or Twilight Princess. Or Mario Galaxy. OH MAN. SO MUCH TO PLAY. I’ve never had this many options before. :3

Anyway, I s’pose I should go do my readings for tomorrow so I can get them out of the way. Then I can play more games. :3

I just downloaded the 1,700 songs from OverClocked ReMix that are not compiled into albums. I’m deleting the ones I have no interest in as I go. I’m excited to get to Z. Pixietricks (Jillian Goldin- Sarika, I think you would actually quite enjoy her music, you should check out her site) remixed one of the foresty woodland themes from Ocarina of Time. It’s pretty awesome.

Anyway. I’m gonna go have some musical faggasms now.

OH MAN. GUYS. Shane (my brother) taught me something awesome today. Apparently, if you set your Windows Media Player up to be a server, your PS3 will connect with it when you tell it to search for media servers. Then just let your PS3 have access and you can access all the media on your computer from your PS3. What does this mean? Any video that the PS3 supports, I can now watch on my TV without hooking my computer up directly. Which is what I’ve been trying to do with my external HD and failing.

So I’m pretty stoked. ‘Cause my AVI animes work.

And my DVD rip movies.

Lawdy lawdy.

This means that Mom and I can choose like one night a week and we can watch a BSG episode or two, almost like it’s really on TV. WEW.

Got in an argument with Gerri. Surprise surprise, what else is new? Though I said what was on my mind and didn’t leave anything out to spare his feelings. Something I should have done a year ago. I feel liberated.

Kind of failed at studying for my midterm today. It’s only worth 10%, so I’m not too terribly worried.

I don’t want to go to school anymore. I eagerly await the day life offers me a new opportunity away from school and into a field that I enjoy. I need a calling. I haven’t heard it yet.

So how ’bout that Large Hadron Collider? The day is almost finally here. Hope they don’t fuck up and create a micro black hole. That could suck. Chances of black hole creation are minisculely miniscule, btw.

I got reeeaaaally close to beating The Answer last night. The boss battles are so incredibly difficult. I’m up to the final boss now, but apparently level 76 isn’t strong enough, so I’m going to do some grinding today for a couple hours, then do homework, if I finish homework, go back to grinding. Grind grind grind. I’ll try him again when I’m at level 85 or 90. Whenever his attack ceases to kill almost everyone with one hit. Story-wise, though, intense shit is happening and there are plot twists all over the place. I have a feeling that the ending won’t go quite the way that I want it to, but that’s alright.

Umm, otherwise… yeah. I’ve picked up my biking regimen again, so any day that I’m not going to school or busy doing something, I’ve decided to bike at least for an hour. Which gives me approximately four to five times a week which is pretty sweet.

I have to write a paper about my presentation which I will be working on after biking today. Then tomorrow I have to study for a midterm on Monday. Then on Thursday I need to have my research paper topic picked out so I can go get some books from the library and work on it over the long weekend and that’ll be my last assignment for the summer! After that it’s just readings and studying for the final, then classes will be over for a couple weeks and I’ll be free and caught up. Those couple weeks where I won’t have classes will be gloriously amazing.

Welp I s’pose I should get started on my day.

In other news, I spent yesterday and today working on my presentation for English. I finished at 11pm tonight. I’m not a fan of cramming a 3 month English course into six weeks. After tomorrow, there are only six classes left. What do I have to do in that time frame? Two papers, a midterm and a final. Really only 5 out of those 6 classes are classes, since the last one is just the final. -sigh- This school and summer thing is really getting me down. I know I shouldn’t complain because I bring this upon myself, but there’s no other way for me to catch up. It just sucks.

I’ve started Ender’s Game again. Man. Good times. I wanna read the Counselors and Kings trilogy again (The Magehound), too. It’s been a while since I read it and I do love it so. And y’know, I don’t even know why I like it so much. I just do. Something about Jordaini just gets me going. Other books I need to read? The Rats of Nimh, The Golden Compass and The Da Vinci Code (nope, still haven’t read it and refuse to see the movie until I do so). I wanna see if I can get A Wrinkle In Time, too. I’ve been wanting to read that one again foreverrrr.

Still trying to get into that Canadian Lit class. Still failing. D: Y’know, you’d think they’d have more. It’s kind of a crucial course if you’re trying to major in English and if you can’t get into it, then you’re kind of screwed. Stupid University guys. Get bigger. Get more profs. More more more.

My family came home today. It’s nice to have people in the house, but I miss my solitude. And the air conditioning >.<

Mum found the first and sixth Harry Potter books in hardcover when she was in the States, so now my collection is complete ^-^ Anyone want some Canadian hardcover Harry Potters? Or an American soft cover Harry Potter 1? If not, I’m selling them.

I passed my test. So I can tote multiple people around legally now. My test instructor person was Ginny XD (The person who did Cam’s test). Oh man. Oh man, she’s a hoot. If you’re going to do a road test, get Ginny. She makes driving so much nicer. I did two rolling stops that I shouldn’t have >.> woops. And apparently there was a pedestrian waiting to cross and I didn’t let her. XD Woops again. That’s all I did wrong, though. She didn’t even ask me to parallel park. Or back in. WEW FOR GINNY. I got a new licence picture for whenever it comes in the mail. I haven’t seen it yet. Ginny said it looked good. She better be right. D< My last one was a disaster.

All in all, a good day so far.

After careful consideration, I think my washer or dryer ate one of my bras ’cause I can’t find it. D: Very nooo.

I keep checking my email to see if there’s a class cancellation for today like there was on Monday. I mean, most likely not, but I can still hope. And hope and hope and pray and hope. Ah well.

My parents are supposed to be coming home tomorrow, which means I should probably do a deep clean of the house tonight. I mean, it’s not like the place is filthy, it just needs to be dusted and vacuumed.

I just remembered my driving test is tomorrow. I know I probably have nothing to worry about, but I always get nervous before these sorts of things. I worry about the dumb little things like… should I open the windows or run the AC during the test? Have I remembered everything that I need to remember? Am I doing it all right?

Anyway. Tomorrow night, we’re (Cam, Shay and I… and anyone else who wants to, I guess?) going to see Dark Knight. I’m excited. It’ll be whatever showing is after 9 ’cause Cam closes that day. In case anyone else feels like dropping by.
