Ahh, the epic saga of Lenscrafters.

So I need to get new glasses. This of course means shopping around. So we went to Lenscrafters last night and, as usual, their prices were atrocious. But the lady said they would match prices and since there was a frame there that I liked, we thought it was worth a shot. So after Dad scwabbled with the manager, we got worked down to what we thought would be a price match. It turns out the price we were quoted yesterday included a coupon of $125 off. The lady neglected to mention this was the case, so we thought $420 would be the cost of lenses and frames. So with $125 off, that would bring it to $295, which is pretty close to what Costco was selling for. So we go to Lenscrafters to place the order and whatnot, and this lady quotes us at $424. So we’re like wtf mate? So we explained to the manager that the lady last night quoted us $420 and that the $125 should be taken off of that since she didn’t tell us that she had made any deductions but the manager refused to give it to us. I’m no sales specialist, but… if you’re a manager and that is what your employee has quoted someone and you’ve said that you will give a certain amount off, you stand by that employee and do just that. Anyway. Long story short, Dad got huffy with the manager and we left. Which leaves me still looking for affordable glasses and frames that don’t make me look positively retarded.

Aside from that, I bought a DSLR today. It cost a pretty penny, but I’m sure it’s worth it. It is beautiful and makes my heart feel good (lol Doritos). I can’t use it yet ’cause I have to let the battery charge, but I’m sure good times will ensue.

Aside from THAT… I accidentally wrote my work schedule down wrong for today and tomorrow on my calendar, but correctly on Mom’s. So I got to wake up, get dressed, scarf a banana and get to work in 15 minutes this morning. And y’know? I did it.

I am completely, utterly, irrevocably miserable. And I don’t know why.

I went from having nothing to say to a bucketload all at once.

I spent Saturday birthday shopping with Dad for Mum. We talked about a lot of junk and finally came up with some plans. I’m going to fly down to Colorado this August and meet the rest of the fam down there and stay for about a week or so. I’m trying to coordinate it with Jen and stuff, too, so then I can see all my friends in one go. Also, on the flight down, I’d have to stop in Calgary to change planes. So Dad said why not stay a day or something in Calgary and I can visit Shane. :) Then next year, Dad wants to finally go on the Alaskan cruise that they were gonna go on like… ten years ago. But since there would be no one to take care of Lee, we’d have to send him down to live with Shane ’cause I have to go to work. So Dad was thinking maybe he would take Lee, Shane and Trece with them, and I could come if I paid for my own ticket. So next summer, an Alaskan cruise is the plan. I’m excited. I’ll be poor, but I’ll be happy.

Other than that, Shay’s in town until tomorrow. We hung out yesterday (Well, after I got off work) and we visited Cam and people at MBSS today. Good times were had.

Well… I guess that’s all I really have to say.

Sooooo I’ve been neglecting the blog. Mainly because there is not much to write about.

One of my supervisors had a stroke. :(

I finished birthday shopping for Allie. Now I have to figure out what to get for Mom.

Work has been work, play has been play. I am slowly working my way through all the hunts in FFXII. I have about three areas left until I finish the game, so I’m in a good spot. After that, I think I’ll play Star Ocean.

I rented Apocalypto today. We’ll probably watch it on Friday or something.

I’ve decided that Judy and Tyler’s dad are lol together. I also can’t figure out which Tyler they’re talking about when Judy says “Tyler”. I think the whole family should just call him Gordo like Ty and his brothers.

On my 19th birthday, I will be going to Zellers to pick up my PS3. Why on my birthday? Because then I’m old enough to apply for an HBC credit card, which will net me 10% off of my PS3, AS WELL AS my 10% discount. So that’s approximately $140 off my PS3. I’ll take it.

I just drooled a little.

Speaking of birthdays, I need to send out a birthday email to everyone so I can fill y’all in on party details.

I think that’s it for now.

As I speak, I am watching my guys kill Negalmuur’s cronies. And they will be doing it all night long. While I sleep. :3

Of course, there’s no point in feeling successful if LEE FUCKING TURNS THE PLAYSTATION OFF IN THE MORNING. FUCK. I REALLY DON’T LIKE HIM LATELY.

So… disc 2 of The Legend of Dragoon doesn’t work. It never loads one of the boss battles. Just a black screen. It was nice while it lasted. Looks like I’ll have to put it back on my list of games to buy.

Work sucked this weekend, I will not even go into it.

I bought Gerri a shiny pink pillow :) Now I need to find a box so I can send it.

Speaking of which, my parents are strongly considering going to Florida to check out a fifth wheel. This depresses me.

My next pay cheque will be nice.

My cough won’t go away.

I think that’s all there is of importance to update about right now.

This cough is tearing my throat apart. I am also dehydrated. Also, I think my mulescum (Or however it’s spelled. It’s a rare virus.) might be coming back. This time it’s mainly on my hands. If we have to burn my hands, I will be upset and highly annoyed.

My cornea is scratched, I think. No more contacts for a little while.

I got Legend of Dragoon from Wayne today :D Ilu, Wayne. He also lent me Star Ocean. Yey!

I’m too tired to update about anything else.

Turns out that Gerri doesn’t have leukemia. But he does have aplastic anemia, which means he needs a bone marrow transplant.

Thank the deities he doesn’t have leukemia. I was scared shitless. I’m still worried about this bone marrow transplant, though. It’s dangerous and a lot could go wrong. Hopefully all goes well.

I… kind of got the urge to chop all my hair off today. I blame Heather for having such fabulous hair and making me wish I was more Asian.

When I woke up this morning, I could see my veins through the tops of my hands. Like… I can see them going up my fingers up to my fingertips. Now, I naturally have very translucent skin on the palms of my hands, but I’ve never been able to follow the veins on the backs of them. I was also unable to keep my hands steady. I was trying to eat and I kept missing my mouth and dropping muffin pieces ’cause my hands were shaking so much. This cold is starting to worry me just a little.

I need a vacation.

This cold is not acting like all the other good little colds, and it is upsetting me. I was doing okay for a while until I woke up today. I started getting a little dizzy last night when I was flipping the sale at work and this morning during breakfast I got all lightheaded, really warm and slightly nauseous. I dunno if I’ll be going/staying at work today. I’ll still go, I think. Just don’t know if I’ll last. Either way, this illness is getting a little out of hand. My abdomen feels like its in a perpetual cramped state from coughing. I think the worst part is the dizziness/nausea, though. Anyway. That is why I have been not really peppy lately or in a hurry to do much/update.

Ummm, the gathering on Sunday was pretty much superb. I <3 you all. A lot.

Monday… I sat around mostly.

Tuesday, drove Craig to the Greyhound, picked up Chrono Cross and Disgaea 2 and did some random errands in Westbank. Then that night it was Steph’s party (haha, I started getting sick this day. Just what I needed to be doing, laser tag). Laser tag was fabulous. I even won, once. Then we went to DQ and ate and we gave Steph her PS2 and I think she was happy. :P Nick came home with me that night and we just farted around on our computers and swapped shtuff on his external and all that was jolly. Drove him to school the next day, met his teacher and some classmates, played ping pong, went home. I only stayed at work for 2 hours that night ’cause I felt like shit.

Called in sick on Thursday, played Chrono Cross all day.

Played Chrono Cross most of yesterday and actually went to work for my 5-9 shift.

Somewhere in there, I watched Happy Feet and Night at the Museum. Happy Feet was omgtehcute. Night at the Museum wasn’t too bad.

I’m supposed to work 2-9 tonight, but… I dunno. I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes.

I think Wayne wants go to see Spiderman 3 sometime this weekend (sometime being tomorrow) or something. So. We should plan that, folks.

All that said, I’m going to do as little moving as possible for fear of passing out… and play more Chrono Cross. What an intriguing game. =]
