It's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses
At the shade of the sheets and before all the stains
And a few more of your least favorite things.

So, really, we had three tests in History today. So I kind of had five tests today. Which was laaame.

Which brings me to my next point: I hate our French sub. A lot. She thinks she knows everything and she's trying to teach us stuff we probably shouldn't be taught yet- during a test, no less. Plus, something about her entire being sets me on edge. Stubborn teachers with sweet little voices like that are not to be trusted.

Alana made balloon swords for her English group's (including Cam, Nat, Kat, etc.) little Macbeth skit. Then she made a poodle-turned-dragon for Natalie. I like to call it a poo-ragon. Or pooragon. I don't really know how to spell it.

Our titration lab this morning was a success. I love titrations. =D

Quartet is apparently singing in Peachland and at Our Lady of Lourdes. Hopefully I don't miss too much History. Stacey may spaz. Or perhaps, I.

I really don't want to do my homework. I have so much -whine-

I need to make a card for Mom. Mustn't forget.

There's something pretty sweet about a lead singer (read: Metallica) who gets set on fire by a chemical flame and continues with his tour two and a half weeks later.

Well, I s'pose I should get to work.

My head's been pounding for a fair amount of hours and I'm starting to really regret being conscious.

I have decided that China is not a very nice place to live in. It'd still be nice to visit there sometime, though. Some day I'll do an Asia trip in all my wealth and glory.

Dad was babbling on about retiring in Nicaragua today. We don't know where the hell this came from, it just kind of popped out of nowhere. Either way, we spent most of dinner telling him "no" and arguing about climates. Then we somehow got on the topic of noses. Yeah, I dunno.

Shay does not, in fact, have mono. Just the flu. Craig, unfortunately, does. Poor little Jesus. I gave him a Thing-Doer card =D

I've still got studying to do. And I still need to read tomorrow's lab. We get to play with a fairly high concentration of NaOH. And Fe2+. We are advised not to eat it, as it causes intestinal disorder. We are advised not to douse ourselves in NaOH, as it will form an impervious layer on our skin, preventing it from washing off with water as it continues to eat at our skin. Mmmm, only in Chemistry can you deal with the corrosive, the caustic, and the poisonous all at once. I think I'm in love.

In other not so superb news, Mme Tremblay is off having surgery on… something, and left us with a confused sub and half an untaught unit. Our unit test is tomorrow. We still don't know half of the material. Fail, anyone?

Mr. Stacey's superhero name when he's wearing his Communist China flag is Commyman. He leaps and prances and dramatizes and everything. It's fabulous. Speaking of History, a fair amount of the class thinks I'm having babies due to a misunderstanding of me telling Katie what Ty's usual baby analogies are (i.e. "Let's make like a baby and head out"). Somehow, the rest of the class heard that as "I'm having babies." Oh dear.

Sixteen days plus three exams and I'm finished this god awful, routinely horror. I can safely say that grade 12 has been one of the worst years of my life, both academically and mentally. It's not that I'm getting horrible grades, just that with this stupid strike, plus normal heavy classes, my brain has been crushed by a vice and fed to the Dead Sea. I'm pretty sure I'm very close to burning out. At least I'll try to do it uniquely.

I reeeaaally wish I had time to read a book.

So my weekend, in theory, will be quite the eventful one. Friday, we're going out to dinner for Mom's birthday and then we're all going to Xmen 3 afterwards (all four of us; the last time I honestly remember us all going to the movies as a family was when Jurassic Park [1] came out in theaters). Then Saturday, Mum and I run around town dropping off resumes and then that night, her and Dad go to Da Vinci Code (I opted out 'cause I wanna read the book first) and I'm taking Lee to Over the Hedge with Cam. Zomg, it's like I have a life.

I'm really glad I finished my scrapbook on Saturday. Glad to the nth degree.

I'm really just wasting time 'cause I don't want to go upstairs and study. Mrrrr.

Guess I should go do… that.

You bet I did.

Hooray, Dawn has a new blog. Har har. Sooo yeah. Be merry.

I'm quite content with this. I'm even content with the skin, and that my friends, is fabulous.

I'm still not studying like I should be. I'm… pretty lame.
